There was a young girl who is an orphan, through the ill-treatment received from her guardian developed a lump in the neck which later turned to cancer before we were involved in January this year, the doctors demanded for #8.5m for her surgery which we were unable to gather till she died later in May this year. Her sister is alive and also needed some amount of money to go back to school.which we are working on currently.
There were two girls from Ejigbo whose father was sleeping with at a very tender age, we got to know about the case and we pursued it, the father was later Detained at the Correctional Center in Ilesha. The girls were taken to our custody for three months taking care of her before we later handed them over to their grandmother when we run out of resources and could no longer keep them in our custody.
There is also a girl from Cameron that we met during our visit to the Correctional Center Ilesha, her friend told her she has gotten a job for her in Osun state not knowing it was prostitution. They had the first shot of blue film at Alora Hotel and the second one at the Osun groove. Baba Elebu Ibon saw the video and sue them to court and they were remanded at the Correctional Center Ilesha, after much appeal to baba Elebu Ibon, he pardoned them. The poor girl told their manager she was no longer interested in the job and the man refused to pay for her bail. We were told that a letter has been written to Cameron embassy but no response has been received yet. The last time she went to court, the manager did not come and the girl was returned to the Correctional centre. We have secured her bail now and presently she’s in our custody for proper care and try to integrate her back to the society or probably send her back to her people in Cameron.
We recently secured the out of the Correctional center for another girl who went to bear witness for her boyfriend who fought with an influential person in their community in court but ended up being remanded at Correctional center.
